Turn a classic holiday appetizer, the cheese ball, into an even more festive dish, by shaping it into a pine coke and adding smoked almonds. Here is the recipe below, would love to hear if you try it this holiday season!
Smoked Almond Pine Cone Cheese Ball
8oz. cream cheese
5oz. Roka Blue Cheese
5oz. Cheddar Pub Cheese
1 shallot, diced very fine
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 package smoked, salted almonds, whole
Mix all the ingredients, except the almonds, in a mixing bowl until well combined and creamed. Place onto plastic wrap, shape into a pine cone shape, and refrigerate for an hour. Unwrap, place the cheese ball on a platter, and place smoked almonds all around the cheese ball, with the tips pointing out (like pine cones). Serve with rosemary or pine leaves.
