Hi, I’m Roni and I’m a Dallas girl. Born to Israeli parents and raised in Texas, I’ve been cooking food from my Medi-Tex heritage as long as I can remember.
Cooking fresh dishes and enjoying them together as a family has always been the most important way we slowed down and reconnected across generations. Now as a working mother and wife I don’t always have time to prepare lengthy meals, but my goal is to give my family a home cooked, healthful meal for dinner each night, just like my parents and grandparents did for me. I pull inspiration from my summers growing up in Israel, pickling capers with my grandfather and diving into lemon ice cream after long days at the beach.
Professionally, I’ve worked as a television journalist and host for 10 years, covering anything from hard news to lifestyle and entertainment. When I became pregnant with my second son I went back to culinary school, where I honed my skills in the kitchen. Now I contribute food and lifestyle segments for AOL, ABC and FOX, sharing my easy recipes and fun cocktail ideas so you can enjoy dinner time again.
