Beef and Broccoli Stirfry

- 1 1/2 lb leftover steak (I had filet mignon leftovers, but you could easily substitite ribeye or NY Strip, just trim exterior fat)
- 1 lb leftover steamed broccoli
- 1/3 cup Mirin (sweet rice wine)
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 2 tsp chili onion crunch
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/4 cup light olive oil or vegetable oil
For serving:
- Rice or noodles
Instructions
- Slice the steak very thin into one inch long strips.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients for the marinade, story until the cornstarch has dissolved and then add the meat to the bowl and toss to coat.
- Marinate for at least 30 minutes or you can prepare this in the morning and refrigerate until dinnertime
- Heat a large cast iron skillet to high heat.
- Once the pan is hot, add the oil and swirl to coat the bottom of the pan.
- Add the meat and stir vigorously util beef has a browned at the edges, about 3-4 minutes. Reduce the heat to low, add the steamed broccoli and any sauce remaining in the mixing bowl. Toss to combine, serve immediately
